Virtual Portfolio Manager (Money management and investment research software suite designed to add value and differentiation to your financial practice).

What is Virtual Portfolio Manager ?

VPM is a money management and investment research software suite designed to add value and differentiation to your financial practice. Besides providing a disciplined process for buying and selling assets, it helps create portfolio scalability (which means it can rebalance and customize your portfolios with a few clicks) In addition, VPM provides account performance feedback which can then be white-labeled for your clients.
What does VPM do?
VPM provides specific buy and sell recommendations on investment positions that the system monitors. VPM also monitors the data used to make those decisions and organizes it to provide research and trend analysis reporting. VPM will not only track individual positions, but it will make specific buy and sell recommendations on those positions, back-test its recommendation history, and provide a self-assessment of the effectiveness of its recommendations. VPM monitors investments on a sector-level basis as well, providing financial professionals with an effective top-down research platform for monitoring industry trends.
How does VPM work ?
VPM tracks literally thousands of varying investment data points on a moment-to-moment basis. It uses a sophisticated software engine that monitors price, pressure, and momentum, along with other proprietary metrics, to generate buy and sell information on each individual position it monitors. As a money manager, you select the positions to have VPM monitor. VPM provides the research and decision-making data to help you make informed management decisions.
How has VPM been performing in today's market ?
Each portfolio manager's experience will be unique with VPM because each manager's portfolio will be unique.  However, when examining the overall performance of portfolios monitored on the VPM platform, VPM has made substantial moves to protect wealth.  Each portfolio position is individually monitored by the system.  VPM has deployed our aggressive risk-reduction campaign, Participate Protect and Grow, across most positions.(Insert link) .  As a result, over the recent market cycles, most users of VPM have experienced only a fraction of the drawdown losses experienced by long-only buy-and-hold and Modern Portfolio Theory investors.
Can VPM help me in bear markets?
Yes.  Although VPM does not have a pre-built portfolio for bear markets, when the market is headed south, VPM goes into capital preservation mode and heads to the sidelines. It handles bears by not participating. Our "Advance" and "Protect" strategy is a risk reduction strategy during bear market cycles and an offensive strategy during bull market cycles.

Do I need to install any software to use the Virtual Portfolio Manager (VPM) ?
No, the VPM platform is hosted on our servers. You can access VPM from anywhere you have an internet connection and a compatible web browser.
What types of investments can VPM monitor?
There are currently over 10,500 financial instruments that VPM tracks. These include equities, ETFs, and mutual funds from all major U.S. markets and exchanges.
Should I seek compliance approval for using VPM in my financial practice ?
VPM is no different than your using MorningStar or other newsletter-type service. We do not give advice on any particular investments. The VPM subscriber is always in control of the  asset classes (equities, mutual funds, ETFs) in which he or she chooses to invest.  *However, if you do plan on distributing VPM commentary, trading recommendations, etc. to your clients, you should check with your Broker/Dealer's compliance department first.
